Born in Melbourne and currently residing in Ballarat, I completed my BFA (Drawing major) at the University of Ballarat and Honours year at ACU National Melbourne. At the completion of my degree I was awarded the UB International travel award and the NGV Trustees Award. In 2005 I travelled to North-West Germany spending time with artists from the Ruhr. As a result of this trip I was invited to participate in the Kunstfe(h)ler exhibition at the LaboARTorium in Herne along with the invitation to have a solo exhibition at the Raum fur Experimental Kunst in Recklinghausen in 2006.
During the last five years I have been a finalist in a number of prizes including the Rick Amor Drawing Prize, the Banyule Works on Paper Award, the Williamstown Contemporary Art Prize, the Robert Jacks Drawing Prize and the Dominique Segan Drawing Prize receiving Highly Commended in the latter two prizes. I have been short listed for the Toyota Career Development Travel Award and have exhibited regularly in Melbourne and regional Victoria.
I am a founding member of Space 22 ARI in Ballarat and I have held roles on the Board of the Art Gallery of Ballarat and its Association. I am currently a sessional lecturer (drawing/multi discipline) at the University of Ballarat.
Since 2004 I have been involved in artist book projects in Australia and the UK and have twice been a finalist in the Libris Awards held bi-annually in Mackay, Queensland.
My work is held in collections in Australia, Germany and the UK.
